Lydia’s House Webpage Opening!

Finally, I opened a newly started webpage, Lydia’s House. I actually don’t have very good computer skills, so when I decided to work on this webpage, I questioned myself in my heart, ‘Can I do this?’ I couldn’t afford the help of an expert, so I taught myself and made this homepage. I will do my best to make it a more sophisticated, solid, and well-structured website.

And for this online space….

  1. I’m dreaming to make it a place for sharing the news of missionaries so that visitors who come to this site can know about what’s going on in various mission fields and so we can pray together.
  2. I have a vision to share the short and long-term news of each mission field and connect the mission field and supporters directly.
  3. Lydia’s House will be made into a space of caring that actively responds to the needs of missionaries, and this homepage will serve as a hub for sharing, praying, and serving.
  4. We will invite missionaries to Lydia’s House to provide space for them to rest for a while and to re-examine their ministry through debriefing before they return to the mission field.

Introduction of Menu

Lydia’s House is organized in two languages, Korean and English. The default language is Korean, and an English version has also been added so we can cooperate with Americans and other English-speakers for missionary member care.

Once a week, SSG Prayer

We are looking for intercessory prayer partners for this ministry. Some of you may have a direct connection to missions or missionaries, but some others may have a heart for mission but may be wondering how and where to start realistically. So what we are asking you to do is to read the one-page prayer paper for missionaries which is in the “Mission Field” section once a week and pray.

  • Stop: Come to the Lydia’s House Homepage and STOP!
  • Stay: STAY on the Monthly Prayer Paper!
  • Go: GO with prayer!

If you read the Monthly Prayer Paper once a week, it will be a great spiritual intercessory power for missionaries who work in the mission field.

And…. When you read the news of each mission field or when you read the Monthly Prayer Paper that is updated every month, please leave a comment or encouragement such as “Amen” or “I read it(!)” When we send a letter to each missionary, your comment will be sent as a letter of encouragement.

However,

if you promise to commit to this prayer ministry,

we will also intercede, communicate, and create a prayer team for you to join.

The prayer team’s job is to select a day of the week and read the prayers that day.

If you want to work together, please give us a message through Kakaotalk or CONTACT ME on the website, and we will contact you personally.

(The English version of Monthly Prayer Paper is not ready yet, but it will be coming soon.)

Pray with this prayer request:

  1. We got a two-year visa extension again in the midst of COVID-19. I praise the Lord who guides us in this difficult situation.
  2. We are in the process of applying for a long-term visa as well. Let us experience the grace of God who meets our needs and gives wisdom in every process.
  3. Help us to live the lives of holy Christians every day, and to live with words of God and prayer.
  4. Please pray for the intercessory prayer team.
  5. Please pray that God will send dedicated intercessory prayer team partners to join the groundwork for the missionary member care ministry.
  6. Please send us supporting churches and more individual supporters to do this ministry.

One Comment

  1. I will use the monthly prayer sheet (weekly) after you post it. It would be a privilege to pray for missionaries.
