Preliminary Questions to missionary member care

• What kinds of member care system do we have?
• If we have it, is it proper to help individual missionary to do their ministry in the mission field with care?
• Do we have a pro-active missionary member care system?
• If we have, what is it?
• If we do not have it, what do we need for it?
• What is the direction of the missionary member care proactively?
• In what areas can I help missionary for the future?

Necessities for this ministry

• Most of member care system is a follow-up help with counseling or therapy. But we need to help our missionaries proactively.
• The sociocultural background of missionaries makes them hide their inner difficulty from others, especially support church and supporters. So we need to find a way for them to feel comfortable and safe to open their heart.
• First, it is for missionaries(ministers). Second, it will be a very important mission partnership with missionaries and supporters to build future-orientated relationship together. Because supporters are supporting them financially and prayerfully and want to get motivation to support them continually and missionaries need to do be a good and healthy ones to accomplish the purpose of their calling from God and from supporters.

The purpose of this ministry

• To place the spotlight in this ministry on the way Jesus trained, mentored, equipped, supported, and loved the Twelve, and seek to relate this ministry
• To help missionaries all over the world to be trained, equipped, and supported spiritually by Lydia’s House and ultimately to prevent potential issues
• To develop partnership with missionaries and supporters in the field of member care

When we come back to our home country, we want to be trained for our next term ministry. Most important ministry needs are leadership training and spiritual training.
