Itae Kim, Jinhee Cho in Bangladesh
- Please protect the children of God in Bangladesh.
- Please help the six young staff members to live normally even while the missionaries are in Korea for a while, and let them always be awake with the Word and prayer.
- We pray for the reconstruction of the “Go-Ppal-Bul church.” The church building is so old and small that it is difficult for all the children to sit when worshiping.
- We pray for “Anondo.” In the future, he must attend more schooling, so there are many things to prepare. However, most of all, please give the missionaries wisdom so that they can train him as a good disciple of Jesus.
- The missionaries are going back to Korea in a few days. Please open the way so that they can return to the mission field quickly after they spend their time in Korea doing things like COVID-19 tests, self-quarantining, and getting health check-ups among other things.

1. The Missionary Training Center continues its training with nine missionary candidates while practicing social distancing, using masks, and disinfecting. Pray that they will be well prepared during their training to be effective cross-cultural missionaries in various places around the world. From August to October, Hannah Kappler, Jihyung Park, and I, along with some other special guests are providing intensive English training for them daily. Please pray for that time to be beneficial in preparing them for global cross-cultural ministry.
2. Unfortunately, Korea’s COVID situation has gotten worse with a second wave of the virus while we are preparing for the fall semester at Seoul Theological University to begin August 31. We will have remote teaching for at least the first two weeks. Pray for wisdom for the school in making decisions, and pray for faculty and students who are preparing to do their best to teach and learn well.
3. Churches in Korea are once again prohibited from meeting in person because of the worsened virus situation. Pray for churches to continue to worship and make disciples despite the many obstacles. Peace Community Church continues to reach out to North Korean defectors and others. We praise God for how He is working even in these difficult days.
4. Please continue to pray for OMS Korea as we transition into being a mission field and a missionary-sending organization which will mobilize, train, and send out missionaries from Korea to serve with OMS around the world. We are working on some changes in our structure, budgets, etc. We are excited to see how OMS can mobilize more missionaries to serve around the world. Pray for Johnny Song who will serve as the executive director for OMS Korea.
5. This is a significant time in the Korean peninsula. If you would like information and prayer requests related to North Korea and all of Korea as well as the world, please take a look at this blog: http://heart4nk.blogspot.com. It is updated almost daily with new information and prayer requests.
Hannah Kappler in OMS Korea
1. Praise the Lord; we can hold the English intensive in person this year! Even with the modifications and precautions for COVID, it is a blessing to work with the missionary candidates as they prepare for their ministry worldwide.
2. Pray for strength and wisdom both for the other teachers and me, as well as for the missionary candidates as the English intensive runs Monday-Friday through early October. (It’s called an intensive for a reason!) Pray that this time would benefit the missionary candidates for their future ministry.
3. Pray for the transition process for me and the many pieces that are in motion. As I wrap up my time in Korea, pray that I would finish well here, that my visa for Taiwan would be approved, and that the Lord very clearly directs in the next couple of months.
Samuel and Elaine (Daniel, Gideon) in Myanmar
- Please pray that the missionaries will have a deep fellowship with our Lord in the morning and the evenings.
- Please pray that Daniel and Gideon who are currently restricted from leaving the house will be able to adapt to this new lifestyle without any problems.
- Please continue to keep the two missionary families and Samuel’s family in our prayers. Pray that they will center their lives on Christ our Lord more, continue to meditate on the Word, and live victoriously by faith.
- We pray for Elaine and Samuel to continue to improve their language skills there in Myanmar through their continued studies.
Yongbeom Jun, Huisun Jung (Seungwon, Seungyun, Seungju) in Kenya
1. We pray that the COVID-19 pandemic ends quickly.
2. Please don’t let the Mobile Theological Seminary ministry that they have raised up fall due to the virus.

Cloud and Lisa Poy in Lydia’s House
1.Thank you, Lord, for helping to complete the Lydia’s Kitchen Ministry that took place for over three months from July to the end of September. We pray for Cloud and Lisa to continually think about the work of soul-care and live lives that practice God’s love in a wise and good way.
2. Let them live the lives of holy Christians every day, and make their daily lives sanctified through the Word and prayer.
3. Let the intercessory prayer network for missionaries become the foundation for their missionary member care, and pour out the grace of the Holy Spirit’s filling on the lives of their prayer partners. Beginning in October, the English version of the intercessory prayer network will also be made. Lord, please send more prayer partners who can pray together beyond languages and borders.
4. It has been more than a year since they finished submitting documents for long-term visas. There is also the aftermath of the coronavirus, but the wait continues amid many sanctions on visa issues because they are foreigners. In all the processes and procedures, they believe that God has intervened. They say, “thank you, Lord,” trusting God, who is always in motion.
5. For this ministry of inviting, welcoming, and restoring missionaries, more and more prayer partners and financial partners are needed. Please help Lisa find more co-workers in order to create a ministry of excellent and beautiful service.
6. The coronavirus has forced many restrictions on all church activities and individual religious life. Nevertheless, please do not let the faith of the Christians in this land weaken. Please keep us on our walks faithfully.
7. Pray for Lisa’s mom and sister who are in Korea. Please keep them under God’s care and make them healthy both spiritually and physically.
8. On Sunday October 25th, Cloud and Lisa are preparing for a specific fundraising ministry to support a mission field on the Lydia’s House Prayer List. It is the first attempt for Lydia’s House to connect a local church in the United States to one in the mission field. Please prepare the congregation to be united in their hearts for overseas missions and help them do their best to meet the mission field’s needs.

Seongheon Lee, Wonkyung Cho (Semi, Sera) in Indonesia
1. We pray for the kindergarten, elementary school, and middle school graduates. Some children continue their studies at Kick’s school, but some others leave. As these children grow up, help them to keep the faith that they have learned well and to exert God’s influence as Christians on many people. Let them be a messenger of the Gospel wherever they go.
2. We pray for the Kalimantan Christian School to effectively fulfill its Christian education role and cultivate future spiritual leaders in Indonesia despite the coronavirus crisis.
3. Please help the families of the children in Dream Child Ministry who are struggling financially to endure this crisis and rely on God. And help them to grow in their faith.
4. Next June, there are three middle school graduations, and we pray for the construction of the high school. If it is God’s will to build Kick’s High School, please pray that He will send money and people.
5. We pray for pioneering new areas for the Dream Child Ministry. In more places, more children are in need of God’s hand. We pray for missionaries to be God’s hand and mobilization of many others.
6. Semi and Sera, who were studying in the States, were banned from entering Indonesia due to visa problems because of COVID-19. So for their school breaks, they are staying in Korea. We pray for their futures. Please let Semi and Sera who dream of being missionaries know God’s will and help them do what is pleasing to God.
Sunbeon Hong, Jihye An (Yepyo, Youngpyo, Eunhye, Bora) in Papua, Indonesia
1. Thank you for allowing the Bible translation and utilization ministry to be carried out by local co-workers during the Sabbath.
2. We pray that the Papua Malay Bible and the Jesus Film are written well in the local church so that many good things happen in the land.
3. The Papua airport and port have been temporarily closed due to the spread of virus. Please keep the local missionaries and local co-workers safe.

It is a privilege to pray for each individual and family mentioned in this prayer directory. I ask Gods blessing, protection and provision for all the ministries but especially that he will strengthen and sustain each missionary.
I have a desire to understand more about the Kick’s school that is mentioned in Indonesia as I pray for Seongheon Lee and family, and the Dream Child ministry. Thank you!
