쓸쓸한 겨울 호수!! 바다같이 보이지만 호수인 이곳에 우두커니 세워진 나무 한그루가 있다. 마치 “시냇가에 심은 나무(시편 1:3)”같다. 여름엔 풍성한 잎으로 큰 나무 그늘을 만들었는데, 이 겨울엔 모진 눈보라를 견뎌내고 더욱 튼튼한 나무로 그 자리를 지키려고 하는 것처럼 보인다. 그래도 봄, 여름, 가을, 겨울, 그렇게 사계절을 묵묵히 그 자리를 지키고 있다. 매서운 추위, 견디기 힘든 눈보라, 홀로 서 있는 고독함을 오롯히 감당하는 이 나무처럼 우리도 그렇게 인생이 주는 겨울의 혹독함을 잘 견뎌내는, 주님 옆에 서 있는 꼿꼿한 나무였으면 좋겠다.

A lonely winter lake and a tree!! It looks like the sea, but the lake, and there is a tree standing beside it. It reminds me of “a tree planted by streams of water(Psalms 1:3)”. In the summer, this tree had abundant leaves to make a shadow, but now it seems that they are trying to endure the heavy snowstorm in the cold winter to keep its place to wait for the coming season. It is always standing there for four seasons. Like this tree which endures the bitter cold, severe blizzards, and the loneliness of standing alone, I hope we will be upright trees that survive the harsh winters of life standing next to the Lord.
