The very first crisis that the Israelites faced after they came out of Egypt was the Red Sea. Pharaoh’s horses and chariots, horsemen and troops pursued them from behind, and the Red Sea which the Israelites could not cross over by themselves was in front. It must have felt like being sandwiched. They were trapped, and they started complaining at the crossroads between life and death. They complained, “Was it because there were no grave in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die?” (Exodus 14:11).

At that time, Moses said to them, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today” (Exodus 14:13). And God said to Moses, “Move on” (Exodus 14:15).

At the moment of crisis, God’s proclamation was, “Move on.” The Israelites had a destination—the promised land with milk and honey! When Christians who know their destination face a desperate situation, they need to walk in the will of God, moving on continually. There is no guarantee that there won’t be problems on the way. But if it is the direction that God commanded you, there is a guarantee that God will make a way.

Ever since the moment that we decided to believe in Jesus, He received responsibility for our lives. So He will take care of our daily schedules, our daily lives, and everything else.

(Exodus 14:5-15)
